Research Assistant  in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer
Eng., Duke University, 1994-2001

  • Discovered relations of minimum variance beamforming to maximum likelihood source localization theory,
  • Developped an algorithm for robust beamforming in broadband matched-field processing for underwater acoustic signal processing
  • Applied blind and adaptive temporal processing and blind multichannel system identification as well as iterative window design techniques to over-the-horizon radar (OTH-radar) signal processing
  • Applied neural networks to detection and classification problems
