ACTIVITIES
Ø Has been supervising to completion 68 master students and 19 Ph.D. students.
Ø Has obtained grants from Bogazici University Research Fund totalling 100,000 $, and external funding from TÜBITAK: National Research and Scientific Council totaling 350,000 $.
Ø Has given several continuing education courses to industry and government institutions on Digital Communication Digital Telephony, Computer Networks, Signal Processing, and Video Coding.
Ø Chairman of the International Conference on Telecommunications: ICT’96. Technical Program Co-Chair of ICASSP’2000, Chairman of EUSIPCO’2005. Chairman of the National Signal Processing Conferences: SIU’93, SIU’97. Also member on various Conference Program Committees, e.g., National Electrical Engineering Conferences, Operations Research Conferences, Int. Symposia on Computers and Information Sciences (ISCIS).
